New bike

I thought I'd make a new thread after the debacle of the last couple of weeks.

So, I popped into my LBS earlier to get them to order the bike I had chosen.
This was the shop I bought my very first bike from, and which I used for a few years to commute whilst I was a student nurse. It's the same owner

Anyway, he checked re stock for my bike (to order it in) and there is no stock of it in the UK until 27th February!!
Do not panic he says! The one upstairs in the showroom (which I tried yesterday) was only built 2 weeks ago and I can assure you, you were the first person to sit on it! All the ladies seem to want a hybrid.
We'll give you that one if you want.
So, it is being checked over and adjusted tomorrow morning and I collect it at 1pm
I will home on her and the weather is set to be dry.

Thank goodness something is finally going right for me!
If I decide I want the handlebar riser fitted I can pop back anytime, but he'll see me in 6 weeks for my free service and I can have any adjustments done then if I want to wait.

Meet my baby (again!), name to yet be decided!

That looks lovely. Can't quite see what make it is? Did you go for a 29er since you are quite tall?

I've just spent every last penny I own on one too. Lol. Went for a Ghost as I fancied a German make for a change.

It's the Specialized Myka Sport Disc 29er
Edited to add, I'm not that tall really, about 5' 7'' but always fancied a 29er and this fits perfectly!

Hehe..almost went back to the 26 wheels but when I found this was a good fit and I thought, why not! For the type of riding I do now I think it's going to be ideal.
It's still a bit girly looking (paint wise) for me, but at least it's not pink!

That is very nice, I love the colour. Didn't you only recently get a new bike or am I thinking of someone else?

I had trouble with the first bike...the frame wasn't comfortable and I took it back after a day.
They then ordered me a different bike but after 4 days on order, told me they couldn't get me it.
I went to my LBS yesterday and hey presto - new bike being collected tomorrow
