Where are you? Plenty of giant dealers in and around London especially south west. There's a giant store near St. Paul's too. C2w can be restrictive though of course depending on the scheme

@morrisman- Try not use large rear sprocket with big front chain ring unless you want to prematurely wear your chain. Instead use the 39 front chain ring and a smaller rear sprocket. It is a 53/39 front chain set?

Nice bike though. Enjoy. Is it insured and do you have a good D-lock?

+1 for pics! What made you go for the Defy?

Having had a ride on my sisters Defy last year, I found it was a comfortable ride, and liked the frame design with the flat top tube, and the price my LBS had knocked £50 with it been last years model and I don't like this years colours!

For those of you who don't frequent Beginners, I picked up my Defy yesterday

@pumpadave how yours is as much fun as mine, the 10 miles back from the bike shop took 32 miles and 1000ft of Chiltern loveliness

yeah am loving my defy had my 25 mile Saturday evening and Sunday evening had a 30 mile ride round our local cycle park (Fowlmead country park)

I live in Sidcup, work in local area. Went to local shop not naming them. Got advice that giant defy was to much bother for them. Nearest dealer was miles away. Local shop will not be getting my custom ever again.

hi sorry didn't reply sooner, and yes it does have Aluxx Sl fluidformed under the nose of the seat

Hmmmmm Very odd as the 5 shouldn't be SL . Only the Defy 1 is Aluxx SL . We could have struck lucky here
