I love a bit of casual birdwatching, hired bicycles in Padstow in 2019 and cycled along the old railway line next to the estuary, Curlews, Great white Egrets, Redshank and loads of cormorants were very easy to spot, the bike ride wouldn't have been anywhere near as memorable without the birds!

I've done that route literally hundreds of times.
My father was a local councillor in the 80's and helped the team get the railway changed to a cycle route.
It's now the most popular tourist cycle route in the UK.

I normally go down to Cornwall every couple of months, and we make sure we do the route every time.
If you get a chance, it's worth doing the entire 17 miles from Padstow to Pooleys Bridge.
It is possible to make it a hilly circuit by using the Rock Ferry
