Back to whether it's really a Look frame, from the photo the decals appear to be the same on all the tubes. I suspect that Look wouldn't have done that even on a training frame.

Decals are all wrong for a Look of that era, as is most of the frame detail.

That's good then, I won't mind stripping it all so much if it definitely isn't original.

Back in the 80's Look made bindings and they still do. They are a French company and as we all know, France is a cycling mecca. They still make bikes and here is a link to start with on your quest for answers. Also, Look is currently having a #MYFIRSTLOOK contest. Who knows, take a snapshot of the frameset and enter the contest, you may have something there.
