Surely, it’s the ideal car for Dogma F owners—can you fit the bike in the boot without needing a bike rack? 🤣

On a more serious note, Jaguar is gambling by changing its target market completely. Generally, the Coventry company’s previous customers weren’t spending £150,000 on a car.

I’m pretty sure it’ll be a success, it’s a status car and there are plenty out there with deep pockets wanting to make a statement.

Not so sure about that. The XJR at launch in 1994 was £45,450 - that would be about £100K now allowing for inflation, and that was the base model. Options could take it up a fair bit from that.

Well, MrsMikeIOW has an EV & we love them…..& having finally chopped in my old Volvo XC60 for a 2024 FPace a few months back (with electronic tow-bar for bike rack😉), I guess I *should* have been a target market for a future Jag….

….but looking at this abomination, I fear this will be my first AND last Jag 🤷‍♂️

A shame.
My FPace has every bell & whistle - massaging front seats anyone? - but it looks like the next change will be another brand. Maybe back to Volvo in a few years: their EV XC60 replacement looks decent, & claims 500 mile range.

Jaguar seem to have lost the desire to sell any sort of volume to any sort of even moderately wealthy person, and instead are hoping to take on the mantle of crazy weird EVs for the super-rich.
Ho him.

I do admire their bravery in doing this to be honest.

Clearly what they were doing wasn't working well for them, so they've made a very brave decision to do something completely different. Time will tell if they did the right thing.

I wouldn't buy it personally, but I am not their target audience.
