new job, at bloody last

i've finally, after putting up with losing out on jobs i could do with one hand behind my back, due to variously being over qualified, under qualified, less suitable a fit with the existing team, less suited to the role than other applicants, too old but we're not allowed to say so etc., landed a proper full time job that pays a salary ^_^

been a part-time temp contract postie for the last six months, and though it was better than nothing, i've always felt i'm not providing properly. hopefully the new job will help me find my mojo a bit more often ;)

i'm going to work for an events company that uses ipads to run the events, where i'll be looking after their websites and social media output, among other things.

i'm not going to brag about the salary, the free ipad or the possibility of a maillot jeune signed by bradley wiggins, but i will brag about the 36 miles a day i'll get commuting on the bike ;)

a day off tomorrow and then just three more shifts pounding the streets, can't wait…

Sounds like the kinda job I was after when I was looking for a change. What great news!

As said in the commuting thread, Congrats Alec. I started in a new permanent role a few weeks back, apparently there's 201,000 of us are in employment but GDP has went down  I went for the close'ish to work option about 1.75 miles which gives me more time to socialise or go out on a longer leisure ride.
