New mudguards

I've purchased a new pair of SKS mudguards to replace the ones with the Genesis as I've managed to break the rear in half somehow with a stick or stone probably. Slight issue is the original rear mudguard has a conduit moulded in for the dynamo rear light cable and new one doesn't. Any ideas on attachment of cable securely attached to the inside arch appreciated.

Run a bead of silicone sealant along the inside of the guard and bury it in that.
