As a frequent tyre checker I find this as well though I must admit it rather puzzles me. (not complaining)

Objects will only embed if a specific set of conditions it met. Firstly, the point pressure between the tyre and the object needs to be high enough to puncture the rubber compound. If it merely deforms around the object and then reforms, it won't penetrate.
Then, if an object does initially stick in the rubber it will often be just flicked out again by further wheel rotations, not pushed deeper in. The amount of debris that actually sticks in the tyres is only a tiny proportion of the total amount the tyres encounter.
One reason rear wheel punctures tend to be two or three times more common over long periods/mileages, is that the higher ground pressures on the rear tyres due to weight distribution, are enough to allow more objects to pierce the rubber rather than just deforming it.
If I wanted to increase my puncture resistance further I would go M+ on the rear tyre only, but stick with regular Marathon on the front.

I used to ride Spesh Armadillos but got fed up with the delamination after a few thousand miles. I changed to the far superior Durano Plus. Longer lasting and quicker rolling.

Where are getting your information? off the internet back in the early 2000's? Or was that the last time you used them? They haven't had issues with delamination since around 2018 or 19, and even before then it was a hit and miss situation because I rode of those tires for years in the Mojave Desert due to goatheads, and RAAM race team out of Bakersfield ran them in 2003 and never had any issues with delamination.

From what I've read every tire manufacture has a certain percentage of tires that delaminate for some reason, I had a pair of Hutchinson's that did that after 150 miles and week of owning them, for which Hutchinson never returned my 2 dozen e-mails I sent to get them warrantied.

Even the most glorious Continental has issues: https://tandemclub.org/continental-tire-failures/

Challenge tires: https://www.bikeforums.net/bicycle-mechanics/1186296-tire-delamination.html

Maxxis: https://www.mtbnj.com/forum/threads...-when-using-stans-notubes-tire-sealant.34769/

So it can happen to any brand of tire at any time. I know that the latest Specialized Armadillos from what a couple of people that I know that ride on them have had no issues for several years.

@froze haven't used them for a good few years but once changed to Durano Plus, that was it. No going back. For the many thousands of miles I cycle every year, Durano Plus' are a far superior tyre.
