Been a mountain biker for most of my life and own a Giant Stance 27.5 2 which is my fun machine although I hate cleaning it in winter. So it stays indoors till weather drys off a bit.
Dabbled with a Btwin Triban 300 last year and enjoyed it but missed disc brakes and it didn't like the gravel roads I took it on.

So bought the Merida this week great for bridle ways and country roads where my Giant Mtb is just a slog.

So Merida Cyclocross 300 2015 got it for £599 from Tredz. Just need move the saddle and bars up a bit as they aren't at the correct height (saddle) and the bars are pointing down.

Can't believe how capable it is off road. Makes the local winter routes I find dull on my mtb much more interesting.
On the road it's not as fast as my old Triban 300 but much faster than my mtb.

Just a shame the weather is not playing nice at the moment.
