Hi All. just joined. wanted to say hi. any real beginners near biddulph in Staffordshire local to me?

Just brought my first "real" bike today. Got a specialized tricross 2013 year - big change after dabbling with mountain bikes - any thoughts on these? seems really good...

Hello. No idea on the Spesh, but GT85 on the chain is a no no, you need a heavier oil. A quick search for the mickle method will reveal all.

Hi and a warm :welcome: to you.
Definitely not GT85. 'Finish line' products are popular or the ever popular cheap alternative, chainsaw oil.
Pat "5mph" suggestions will get you in the right direction.

Hello and welcome. Good old 20/50 is as good as anything. Just remember to clean the chain in kerosene if it is too dirty and gritty first.

Barnet,
Finish line make two different lubes, a wet one, heavier grade for this time of year, and a dry lube for summer, nice weather riding.
