I don't know much about Cinco de Mayo
An interesting article in the paper.

"Do you spend a lot on fitness? Seven people reveal their exercise budget"

https://www.theguardian.com/lifeand...ess-seven-people-reveal-their-exercise-budget

The main thing I learnt from this is that apparently some people in London spend £100 or more a week on exercise. How odd. Fair enough if you've got the money I suppose, not a bad thing at all to spend it on, but it does surprise me a bit. Below the line there are suggestions that others share this reaction.

But cycling gets some good press as two very sensible people explain that it's their primary form of exercise and costs them next to nothing. Cycling saving me money is a big deal for me and I'm very grateful for it.

I don't think I know anyone who spends any significant amount of money on this kind of thing, beyond a gym membership or running gear. Does anyone, really?

And please no one try to claim that The Guardian thinks only the South of England exists because out of the 7 there is one person from the North, so there......!! :/

Spend on exercise a week: £200
Spend on fitness a month:
£1,000
Hours spent exercising: eight
Kelly, age 50, from London, clearly has too much money. £1800 per month for 8 hours exercise :wacko:.

I spend about £30 a month on cycling repairs, parts etc.
I do 8 hrs a week, on tarmac, for free

Bloody cyclists - you don't even pay road tax.
I wish I didn't, but I still pay VEHICLE TAX on two cars so I have twice as much right to use the road as you (assuming** you don't own any cars that are not exempt*)

** I don't like to assume anything, ever
* Classic cars are cool
