Maybe, but changing the name to "CUK" was a bit of a 🤦 (sounds like cuck, short for cuckold) and the latest branding is a smaller face-palm: do they really want people to feel the sun is setting on the era of cycling?
Chatting to another cyclist I happened to meet on the road not too long after the name change, he was using the "C" pronounced as "Su..." i "CUKers" pronounced as "Suckers".

This months magazine has arrived, theres a review of the Marin Four Corners 1 bike in it I'll take a close look at, I nearly bought one of these but struggled to find one in stock near me to try. I might revisit this as though I love my electric bike I feel I should challenge myself more with a none electric bike. Plus at about 14kg its over 10kg lighter than mine!

I don’t believe they have purposely belittled or demeaned them . They simply understand most of them will be dead or not cycling with in the next decade and decided they needed to be replaced with leisure cyclists like myself.
I’ve been a member for many years and quite like the heritage of the CTC even though I’m not a group ride sort of person. Demographics suggest a lot of retired people will be looking for leisure activities, we have even had a rise in the popularity of multi day touring albeit called bike packing. So while it did have to evolve I’m not wildly excited by the charity or new branding. You never know, when I retire I might have an urge to join a club!

Agree. I’ve just spent a pleasant hour flicking through. I like the touring content and thought the magazine was a bit less tired than the previous format.

Likewise, I've enjoyed reading the touring accounts. One thing that struck me though is that the magazine is printed on el-cheapo thin paper which is rather disappointing.
