All the way from Cambridge to St Ives
Only on the way home mind !
I got wetter on the way home than the way to work . Dirty great puddles 1or 2mm deep going kerb to kerb in some places, I think I managed to pass over the band of land which got a seriously heavy shower!

I was bent against the breeze Tuesday night on my way into work and thought of you Steve, summat along the lines of "jeezuz I'm glad I'm not on a fixie, wonder how Vike will do in this crap!". Didn't stop a whole plethora of dickheads passing me far too closely, in a gusting crosswind blowing from LH verge accross the road, well done motorists!

My legs are in bits, I only just managed to get home in an hour last night, even with a tailwind.
Anyone else noticed how many more calories your body needs when fighting head winds all week?

I don't mind a headwind so much if it's on the outward leg of a ride -- nothing worse than having fun ripping along, then struggling all the way back into a gale.

Worst though is fighting a headwind, then, as you turn ... so does the wind.

On Tuesday night I got home and was telling Mrs. Jeez that I had to stand up *ON THE FLAT * at one point (going along the catford-bellingham A21 for all those local...it's a wind tunnel).

I don't ...ever...stand up (far to comfy in my seat;))

Needless to say, Mrs. Jeez had no idea what I was going on about and replied.."what, you mean you walked"

Yesterday wasn't so bad and today is good so far (seemed to be plenty of traffic around peckham probably because of all the closed roads due to the big fire overnight)
