Also there are those who don't realise the scope of what it is they actually do, mistakenly thinking it's all biased news, dancing shows and soap operas.

You don't have to spend very long watching TV on the continent to realise how pish it is.

I’ve just binged the whole series of The Rapture on iPlayer just now. Series like that make it totally worthwhile for me.

European Athletics Champs starts on Monday. Don’t grudge paying for it. Between the athletics and several dramas I enjoy it’s worth it for me.

I met two ladies on the train yesterday who were heading to Birmingham to officiate at the Championships. They haven't recovered from the Commonwealth Games yet. All voluntary, of course.

Our commercial channels are sh*tting themselves worrying if a decision would be to show paid for commercials on the BBC as thet would loose a lot if income

I pay for Youtube too. I watch stuff enough to justify the £7.99 per month to get rid of 99% of the ads. They were just getting too annoying.

Can you pay extra to the £96 a year to remove the so called 'sponsorship' slot advertisements.

It’s not really required though as millions have not paid for years & they have not been fined.

Which is only increasing the price for the rest of us and possibly even reducing the amount the BBC can offer to cover major events like the Commonwealth Games which went to TNT.

Use an iptv line. Even many Police officers and workers use dodgy fire sticks with Sky live app installed. You can’t beat HBO max & TNT for free. Especially if you love live WT cycling.

Some think that the likes of Sky are so rich it does not matter. However, even there regular payers likely end up paying more too.
I suspect most streamers are logged somewhere along the line, it just being current privacy laws keeping them safe.

A VPN and a streaming tax could cheaply replace the BBC license.

Because people don’t care about everyone else. The U.K. is a dog eat dog society & honesty isn’t always the best policy. I know a millionaire couple who can afford sky but use an IPTV line for £60 a year. So you can blame the rich for increasing the costs as well.
