I would just like to point out that I do actually have sympathy for @MarkF for what was in all intents and purposes (or so he says ) an innocent gesture.

there has been some great advice - mostly from the grown up Female members of the parish but I have enjoyed the lighter side of the CC community on this one. the best way to sort a problem is to take the micky a little I find and boy did everyone do that.

Yes, Shaun should set up a dating site.....there'll be a lot of single members if anyone follows some of this advice.

The problem was, as soon as I gave her my number, that sparked off something with her and I couldn't deal with as quickly as I would have liked to. If she had texted "normal" messages to me for a period and then dropped in something flirtatious, I'd have been able to deal with it and nip it in the bud.

But she went off like a rocket and in a state of shock I used phrases like "Sorry, I'm busy that night" when really I should have said "NO".

I saw her today, she is a good looking woman...........I don't know how she is single.
