Didnt the polish cycling team teach us not to wear red tights?

The closest thing i have to cycling wear is some baggy MTB shorts and some plain black/white jerseys. I think road position and the little swerve when i frequently shouldercheck gets me a fair amount of space. Id guess it was more down to the time of day you went to the supermarket.

Anyone else have comparisons of how they are treated by drivers depending on their clothes?
On the contrary, my perception is that I get more room rather than less room when in civvies, especially when wearing a builder's-style hi-viz jacket, because drivers, especially WVM, see me as one of us rather than one of them.

What you might have found, MHC, is the lunchtime buffoons. I've found the drivers at lunchtime to be considerably more impatient, less considerate and less pleasant to be around than at any other time of day. I'm guessing that's because they all want to be somewhere else and they only have 60 minutes to get there, do what they need to do and back to the office.

There may be something in that. I commute in the "rush hour", but this was at lunch time, as you guessed.

I'm more concerned about the lunchtime buffoons than any other time... possibly except the 4x4 3:30 pick-up run.
