This seems like a challenge? Anyone covered this route? Would it be good for a week tour, maybe 100 miles per day?

I've done the bit from Inverness to Durness as part of my extended London-JOG in 2012. I'll also be doing the bit from Tongue down to Ullapool as part of a Highlands and Islands Tour in September*. Lots of lovely roads and scenery up that way, though I think the route up the East Coast to JOG is less nice than the Northern and Western Sections (heavier traffic on the A9/A99).

100 miles per day for a week would be quite arduous in the terrain though, especially if you are carrying kit. There's very little flat.

*Then heading over to Lewis, harris, Skye, mull and the Ardumurchan Peninsula
