Hi all. Spending a week based in Instow near Barnstaple this summer. Anyone got any tips for a 30-40 mile road ride without endless hills? Ta!

I don't know what the surface is like, but there is the Tarka Trail along the old railway line

Thanks both for the advice. Am thinking combo of Tarka trail and coast roads.

Although if you're on really skinny tyres the surface isn't great south east of Watergate Bridge (near Great Torrington) - it goes from good tarmac to rough gravel. And yes, there are some flattish coast roads (and along rivers - the A377 by the Taw is lovely), but tricky to do a circular route anywhere in Devon without meeting some nice hills.
