Cool, but lovely day today, so headed out for a couple of hours. Went over to Holme Moss which is a nice big steepish hill on the West Yorkshire / Derbyshire border.
Cruising along at a nice pace on the approach road and something was very strange. The road was perfectly smooth. Not a pothole in sight. Seemed to last all the way. Not everything was newly tamacced, but all the roads were in great condition.
I'm guessing this is all in preparation for the Tour de France this summer. Wish all roads were like this! Felt so much smoother and faster than normal riding and hole dodging!
