Is that 'cos it's raining....?

TBH I really couldn't be bothered today...so actually took the car (shoot me I must be mad) I do have to be back home pretty sharpish today though. To console myself, I've just had a sausage buttie....

It's really coming down today - I still rode, pretended I was doing one of the opening stages of last year's tour (the Brittany ones where it poured down) to make it a bit more fun.

It wasn't as bad as I thought it would be, tbh. No bloody headwind for the first time this week, and a sight more pleasant than that mizzly rain that gets everywhere....

Mmm, sausage butty...........

I drove in today too, but only because I was tired this morning after the excitment of going to the theatre to see David Essex.

Work colleague is trying to get me out later though so do a 5 mile ride, a 1 mile run, then a 5 miles ride and 1 mile run etc. Not overly keen at the moment.........

And I've had fish and chips for lunch..... got to get home pronto tonight for the plumber (heating/hot water has stopped - technical term) and if the 'bike god' has his way, I'll be picking up my new bike..... then got to take son to camp, then if I get bike, start fitting computer, pedals etc..oh and maybe lights and go for a ride, but that depends upon if I've already opened some beers......

Plus couldn't be bothered getting the mudguard less MTB and me filthy....

Oo, if you do get the bike, are you doing any of this year's bike week rides on it? Wouldn't mind a nosey at the fossy fixed...

Yep, I'm down for the Cheadle run...and I'm usually on the monthly rides. There WILL be pics on here...very soon....

I've been called mad for getting a fixed...usually by none cycling colleagues.... they just can't understand it.

So fixed wheel is a fashion now.I remember going in a bike shop years ago and asking about a fixed wheel bike and being told that fixed wheel bikes were for old men.Eventually I got one though and also converted the famous hackbike 6 (R.I.P).
