Having watched the video I can say that I have carried out some of the above manoeuvres but not the red light ones, and in the speed one he is catching the cyclist up so going faster! The filtering looks fairly normal, and the one with the lorry is in a place where cars can't make loads of progress and cyclists can, and if the cyclist needed to get across to the third lane then he would want to get ahead.

Anybody else hear him shouting 'Cycle Lane' at the cyclist riding far to close to the kerb (on the yellow lines) in the final example?

As said above, a lot of non-issues. Apart from the pavement cycling and the red light jumping, which of course motorists never do..........apart from the driver who overtook me while I was stopped at a red light in the car this afternoon, oh and and this chap:whistle: :

incidentally, was the camera hand-held at about 2min 45?

Can you really trigger one of those radar "30mph Slow Down" signs on a bike?
Probably. Difficult to tell if the cyclist triggered it though as it looks like he was already past it at the start of that clip, meaning there is only one other possible culprit.;)

This video is pure bullshit and hate-filled vitriol from the very first,The guy goes on about the Highway Code (as if car drivers care about that!) yet starts with a statement about how drivers pay road tax but cyclists don't, so it just shows how ignorant he is. The best thing to do is just ignore it and not give it the time of day. I only watched the first 5 seconds.

I think you and The Claud should get of the fence and tell us what you really think

I was not impressed by the driver or his text within the video but there were a few cyclists in the video whose road craft would also earn them the 'nobber' description.

I think that
Very selective and a lot of non issues IMO. Plus it only represents a minority of cyclists in the same way only a minority of drivers flaunt the law.
sums it up well.

I cycle in Bristol most days, including some of the roads shown. I have to say, by and large Bristol motorists are courteous and sensible. That said, have had one or two near misses, and one being-driven-at, but now I'm used to being out-of-the-gutter, and indeed so-called "primary" where called for, then incidents are few and far between. One nasty bit is by the Down's where he moans at "not using cycle lane" - or "pavement" as I might call it; this is a place where you very much need to take-the-lane and prevent bad overtakes. For all that I like cycling in Bristol.

The cycle path by the downs is normally full of pedestrians (students) who would rather walk on the wider cycle path than the narrow pedestrian path. Plus it's on the wrong side of the road so you would need to cross the road to use it and then cross back again at the next set of lights.

Maybe we're talking about slightly different places, but on one side there's a perfectly fine bus (and cycle) lane, and only on the going-out-of-town side is there a shared pavement (which I never use preferring the road). If you're on that side, why would you need to cross over ? And if you're on the bus-lane side, you'd use that surely?
