Road Tax does not exist. It was abolished in 1937. You mean VED maybe? Im a cyclist and I pay £335 VED a year for 2 cars, so yes a high percentage of Cyclists do pay VED. When im commuting to work on my bike my car is at home, so Yes I am paying to use the roads.
There is no requirement to use Cycle Lanes. Rule #63 of the Highway code, look it up. Do you get upset at Buses not using Bus Lanes too?
The way you overtook that cyclist whilst complaining about him not using the cycle lanes is disgraceful, careless driving at the least, and whilst using a handheld device for filming too?!?!?!?!?
Ok ill give you the Red light jumpers, but then its not like you never see drivers jumping red light either, do you? Or perhaps Bristol drivers are perfect..... Ok except those who use handheld devices whilst at the wheel..........
Yup Helmets, Hi Viz, Insurance, mot aren't requirements of law, You want to see my tyres, racing slicks, man they are good through the corners though!! BTW I have 3rd party insurance, wear a helmet and wear bright coloured clothing.
How did you expect the cyclists to pull over for an emergency vehicle when they were behind it????
The speed of Light is 671 million Miles Per Hour, that guy looks like he was doing about 25 mph.............
Pavement cyclists, yes the bain of every serious cyclists lives, they give us a bad name, just like Drivers who use handheld devices whilst driving, Drunk drivers, Drivers who jump red lights, drivers who speed, drivers who park on the pavement.......................etc etc etc.....
As for dangerous overtaking, its pretty poor to pull over to your right to try to force the cyclist into the right hand lane like that, the Police would call that Dangerous Driving. Guy cycling down the middle of the road......
Your using your handheld device again, I really hope its not a Phone as thats 3 points and £100 fine.
Speed limits apply only to Motorized Vehicles. And to which what speed were you doing, as you were clearly catching the cyclist. eh doh, the flashing 30 sign was for you!!!!
Cycle paths again, rule #63. Look up Rule #163 and there is a small picture that shows you how you, as a driver, should pass a cyclist. Its the full width of the road, not 6 inches like you did. Careless driving again.
If your going to spout off about cyclists not obeying the Highway Code at least try to be squeaky clean yourself, which your far from. Speeding, Using a Mobile Phone while Driving, Dangerous Driving, Careless Driving to name but a few. I recon you've racked up 20 points easy over the course of your videoing antics. Perhaps for your next video you could do one on the less than perfect Drivers around you. Regards, Ewan.
