Why do people assume that these issues are about the parents and which one should own the children?

I'd give up and keep your own counsel on this one, MrP. You'll never get through to some people.

I've just re-read the whole thread. Apart from continuuing to sympathise with the mother I was struck by the absent friends who posted their contentious views.
