I wouldn't doubt it, or the organisers taking every effort to keep the watching public safe, risk assessments, insurance cover, etc.. Similarly every effort will take place at full size air shows, but there have been tragedies at those, fortunately very few have involved any crowds. It wouldn't stop me from going to one though. I'm sure we could both imagine a knee-jerk reaction if there were any incidents at a model air display with a large public audience. All the best managed shows like the Wings and Wheels at North Weald have the aircraft flying well away from the crowd.
Not quite, 85% was titanium. It couldn't be filled with fuel on the ground due to it leaking like a serve when cold. They had to take it supersonic to heat the airframe up the then fuel it up in the air.The SR71 airframe was made entirely of titanium.
Thank you. You're even more of a geek than me !Not quite, 85% was titanium. It couldn't be filled with fuel on the ground due to it leaking like a serve when cold. They had to take it supersonic to heat the airframe up the then fuel it up in the air.
Somewhere, even now, a dog is building an air raid shelter....
