Yes mate although, although I've been commuting by bike up and down it now for just under two years so so fuel only bothers me when I inhale the byproducts :/It's good when a plan comes together isn't it? As said previously though, that lane looks a nightmare to navigate for traffic congestion
Just think of the amount of wasted fuel being used up on that lane every work day though, frightening really![]()
Needs more sadistic laughing, you could splice the clip with car adverts showing utterly deserted roads, also needs a counter bottom left corner showing the value of the overtaken cars.
I'd want that sort of light show if I was cycling down that road too!
I once came across a French coach stuck between restricted width poles with a huge queue of traffic behind it and no where for it to turn round, I dont know how the coach ever got out but the traffic behind would have been there for hours. I just cruised on by laughing!
Bloody cyclists, causing traffic!!
I like how your lights look like laser cannons.
That is one popular dogging spot.
Lovely job !
That sort of situation can lead to irrepressible cycling smugness which can last a week. Or longer, if you put the film on YouTube.
I've managed to help the poor darlings sort themselves out in situations like that a few times.
They are so pitiful and helpless in their little tin boxes when they can't move forwards quickly enough (bless their little cotton socks). You can't help but show a bit of sympathy.
Not having a "stake" in the aggression and frustration these poor benighted drivers are experiencing, has made it easier for me to suggest a bit of give & take, a few adjustments back & forth, here and there, and get the traffic flowing again. Until the next wombat who can't hold back or find reverse blocks it up again, that is.
Someone recently told me that cyclists were the cholesterol of the road network.
Will show them this.
Is it actually worth the motorists using that as a short cut (does it actually cut off a large chunk?) ... I think if I tried that once, then it would be the only time I used it in a car as a short cut.
Show them this too (this is quite normal):
idiot driving at the start.
Apologies for being off post, but I'm interested in how you've mounted your camera. Looks like a chest mount. Can you give me the details?
The mesosternum mount?
Available at Argos.Yes mate.
I'm using a GoPro Hero 3 Black with the stock GoPro chest harness. You do get a bit of knocking, I narrowed it down to the buckles tapping the back plate if I cycle hard. I bit of tissue wedged in there fixed it (mostly)
