What about one of those Waterless car wash products. I use sometimes use them on the car if it's not to dirty. Showroom Shine is quite a good product apart from being a little expensive but a bottle would last for ages on a bike.

Clean it at work. Preferably while on the clock.

Is this a piss take?

This is not a helpful post it's just rude.

Go to a charity shop and buy a bed sheet. Put the sheet on the floor and put the dry bike on top. Mickle the chain. Wipe the bike down with a rag, the dirt will fall off onto the sheet, which you can then shake out outside. Finish cleaning the bike with a rag and some Mr Sheen, or baby wipes if you don't care about generating unnecessary waste.

This is a very helpful and informative post with good ideas.

I too have nowhere to clean the bike except outside.
That means that at this time of year, I regularly have a dirty bike.

I mickle the chain in the kitchen (where the bike lives) and all is well.

Don't stress it. Back in the day I can't remember ever having any sort of cleaning / maintenance routines on my bikes and they all survived.

He's not alone in having that view. And you're clearly bothered enough to reply.

I like @User13710s idea. If it was me, I would occasionally wash it in the rain, especially if there's lots of mud. Then wipe it down and bring it into the house and stand it on old towels or sheet to dry, then clean and lube the chain, polish the frame, oil anything else.
The rest of the time, I would bring it in and just mickle the chain.

I keep a watering can, full of water near my door so I can prop the bike up and then water it off before bringing it indoors and putting it in the shower room. Hub can whinge and complain as much as he likes but the bike needs cleaning. I didn't whinge when he had a bike engine on the kitchen table when we were first together so he can do one about my choice of cleaning place.

Clean the bike in the bathroom and then clean the bath out!

Seems like it's always raining outside when I get back from work and I have no place indoors (bathroom is verboten), bike is in severe need of a clean and fettle as the last few rides have been muddy as.

Anyone else have this problem and have any creative solutions?
