Hi Everyone, a question on behalf of SWMBO

We are preparing for the Etape and she is wondering about nutrition. Neither of us have done 81 miles before, and SWMBO has an underactive thyroid & is on HRT. She can get tired very easily and i'm sure that could be improved with better nutrition prior to cycling (and a better diet in general  but tell her I said that!)!

If any of you have some ideas or pointers for her; and me for that matter, i'd appreciate it!

My only connection is that I ride with a couple of the blokes and I use the product, which is excellent. Go for the GO Electrolyte. It works!

The basis is maltodextrin, which is a complex carbohydrate that's easily absorbed and goes straight to the muscles. The GO product also contains salts to replace what you lose by sweating. On any ride over about 90 minutes you need to replace lost energy and salts and this product does the job, it prevents that awful fading in the legs and keeps you going right to the end.
