I had just finished lacing up a new set of wheels when I noticed the second one I did (the rear) wasn't right. When I say not right, I mean the hub logo didn't line up with the rim valve hole. I like to make this line up when viewed through the valve hole, it makes me feel good deep down inside

I had got the second wheel I built a whole 4 spokes out! Argh! Disaster. Even though this was not structurally detrimental to the wheel build and no one except me would ever notice I still only thought about it for a few minutes before undoing the spokes and sorting it out the right way.

It's done now, so I can go to bed and sleep.

You got me there - I've got one at the back that likes to rotate a touch, I tensioned it a bit yesterday ... might need to go and check it before bedtime ... and get up a few times in the night to see if it's moved .

I carry spoke key and that plastic tool to stop the spokes twisting and line them up mid ride

my OCD doesn't stretch to the bike thank God.... I'd never get out the house, it already takes me half hour to check, God knows how many times, I've turned the cooker off... Even tho i ain't used it!!!

Some don't use valve caps at all, I think that's a 'I'm hard me' type of thing, you know like not wearing a coat when it's cold.
