The odd thing is that despite my condition I still have no qualms about not keeping the bikes clean. The hybrid hasn't been cleaned in around 18 months apart from a quick blast from the garden hose after a gritty, wet trip on the TPT.

If the bikes are that dirty then surely you won't be able to see the logos anyway?

My work colleague believes I have a few 'ocd' problems, I just call them 'neatness'

my OCD doesn't stretch to the bike thank God.... I'd never get out the house, it already takes me half hour to check, God knows how many times, I've turned the cooker off... Even tho i ain't used it!!!

You have a servant to do your cooking?

That's just wrong.

I do have to have the logos on the hubs reading towards the back of the bike though, I.e. From the saddle. Easier than you think with fixed hubs that fit either way.

I have created a monster!

Last night my oldest (10yr old) son and I were swapping the tyres on his 'new' (just finishing building from used bits) bike when he asked me to make sure the tyre logos were lined up with the rim stickers

I didn't think I had ever mentioned it to him but I obviously have at some point. I then proceeded to tell him how the rim sticker is usually directly opposite the valve and the midpoint of the sticker should be at the rim joint (either a weld mark or pressed joint). We discussed this and together decided that the 'S' of Panaracer Smoke should be lined up with the joint on both wheels for the best results.

It was one of those special father-son moments that I will look back on fondly in years to come.......
