Blimey how did they manage that. Its been a great earner for years. They were not overly wise though. I base this on the gold plated taps in their bathroom at home.

Should a shame, if they had hung on for a few more weeks the new accounting rules around leases would have kicked in which would have helped them out.

ANyone know what is happening to the car parks

we use one when we go to the theatre in Liverpool
it costs but it is in the right place

but yes - they have been charging over the odds for decades!!

"The administrator, PwC, said demand for parking had not recovered to pre-Covid levels, pointing to "shifts in commuting and customer driving patterns".

Well thats fantastic news isn't it? More people realised they could live without a car after all or at least use it less often...

Maybe some local councils will 'invest' in the car parks?

I've been looking at finding somewhere to park when we visit Brighton next month. Good god, how can these companies not make money ? Looking at £80 for 48 hours in a secure car park near our hotel.

Googled and found a private secure car park, manned, for £60 for the weekend. As it's a small undercover lockup, it also means I can leave the bike in there and collect it when I go for a ride. The hotel has narrow steep stairs so having the bike in there is probably a no. This little lockup probably provides a very decent income to pay for it to be manned for 15 cars.

How the big companies can't manage boggles my mind.
