My partner, who gave up smoking in 2017, vapes way more then she ever smokes. And it's something I've noticed with other friends who vape. They seem to have a vape constantly in hand and continually puff on it.
The issue of the rising incidence of young onset cancer was on Panorama last night. It seems that in deciding where to start searching for the cause(s), we're spoilt for choice.
I have a massive mistrust of vaping, purely from anecdotal knowledge of one person. My neighbour used to smoke a bit but then switch to vaping. Within 2 years she had severs COPD down to ⅓ lung function and now can hardly move around the house, has emergency bottles of oxygen and on several occasions has had ambulances attending.
Could be coincidence but these days maybe even worse as frequent introductions of new untested chemicals introduced to keep people going, new chemicals to mimic new flavours almost making it a hobby "have you tried ...".
It might be relatively harmless (but not without risk). Or it might not. I don't think there's any evidence YET that it's a health crisis in the making. But we don't have the long term data.
