Old Frame Stickers - New Glue Question

Just had a frame resprayed and I managed to get the Raleigh factory frame number sticker off. The glue's gone from each end of the sticker so I need something that will stick it to a powder coated frame and not ruin sticker or frame.

Any suggestions folks?

Have you tried double sided self adhesive tape? Can be bought in 1/4" - 1/2" reels and also off the roll which will be difficult to find.
