It's a bit more complicated than that...
Take a look at Channel 4 news tonight - it's online. One of the (male) gymnasts stripped down to his bright red leotard. Apparently there's a blue kit and a red kit.

I don't mind the look of the thing when it's being posed in but It won't make much sense when riders are in racing position.

Get a celeb designer to do it, preferably one who's a celeb because her dad is a celeb.

The Olympics can kiss my fat, sweaty 4rse.

Oh, sorry! Did I type that out loud?

Whatever the usual knee-jerk anti-reactions that are an auto-response to certain people whenever faced with something new, there are very good reasons why professional designers can remain professional and successful in the work they do, whilst the untalented mass of us do not, cannot and never will be able to do better.

I think the collection is well designed, by the way. :becool:

So people that like it are fair and balanced, people that don't like it are clueless idiots?

Makes sense.

I wonder how you differentiate between a good designer and a bad designer.

The Kings new clothes comes to mind. Just because a celebrity designer has designed something it doesn't automaticly make it good. The cronies who surround these designers are not going to stick their heads up above the parapit and tell them that this or that design is poor.

BBC News just quoted Brad Wiggins' response to the kit as, ''Oh dear!''

Right. enough's enough. She's a graduate in Fashion Design from Central St Martins for flips sake. That takes hard work and skill. I used to think that fashion degrees were an easy ride until number one son did his course at London College of Fashion.

Anyone who survives the courses at LCF/CSM to graduate from the University of the Arts has talent.
