I started another thread but have now closed it and put my few words on here:
Just over half way for the race and there is a 26 man break that's 5 mins ahead of the peleton. Some good names in the break:

Vladimir Efimkin is turning himself inside out on the front of the peloton to no avail, don't see them bringing it back.

Yeah, and most of them at the side of the road are wearing uniforms!

Just occurred to me that it would be an ideal area to make some kind of demonstration or unfolding anti-Chinese banners - difficult to police and guaranteed TV coverage!

Does anyone else think that the BBC commentary is poor? When the peloton was chasing up until that last lap with Nibali on the front, we were told that the Schleck brothers were 2nd and 3rd wheel putting in the work....impressive, given that they were wearing Austrian kit!!
And then just now there was a shot of Contador which had not registered with the commentary team who proceeded to tell us that they hadn't seen him and he must be in the bunch..
Amateur or what.
