Sastre is on the front riding hard backed up by Contador and Sanchez with Rebellin also in the mix. Schumacher must have an eye on Wednesdays TT as he has now pulled out.

The Spanish have now eased off the pace and Nikki Sorensen is off the front at the moment. Being touted as Spain v Italy on Eurosport.

Cadel Evans has just turned up on the front!!!!!!! Looking like its going to be a right ding dong with Rebellin in the mix. Bettinni is missing at the moment but can't be too far away. Leipheimer and Menchov are also up on the front Keith.

Group of 5 leading at the moment with 17kms to go Rebellin Andy Schleck Michael Rogers Sanchez and Evans. Menchov is trying to get back on.

Just over 10kms to go Keith, Rebellin Andy Schleck and Sanchez are 15 seconds in front and expected to fight out the medals.

Where did he come from? He just breezed up and took bronze another half a k he could have had the gold.
