OMG - what were they thinking? (Warning - frock thread)

Gentlemen - would you wear the Marc Jacobs shirt dress?

  • Of course. With a figure like mine it would be a pity not to - sans skimpies. Wiggle here I come

  • Possibly. On the beach. Somewhere far from home

  • Not really. I'm not averse to a showing a bit of flesh, but lace is a bit itchy

  • No. No way. I'm far too old and boring.

Maybe hes making the point that we all have a sense of fashion and can tell when something is utterly ridiculous?

Why do his socks annoy me more than anything??

Yes I can, Yes I am, Yes I did...Repeat.
I'd look great wearing the blonde in the white dress

Here for rides.
I've gone for option four on the grounds of age not boredom content, and am prepared to do a FNRttC in my kilt to demonstrate my lack of boring.

The socks don't work with those shoes and a dress. Something silk, white and calf top length perhaps.

I find the atrophy in male fashion extremely tedious and the reasons for our rigidly conventional approach to male dress stifling in the extreme. But I was once...

a dandy highwayman who you're too scared to mention.
I spent my cash on looking flash and grabbing your attention.
The devil take your lycra and your bicycle collection!
The way you look you'll qualify for next year's old age pension!

I can safely say it's not a look that I could really go with, however, walk in any shop and browse the menswear and you'll be faced with nothing more challenging than choice of colour for a shirt, and maybe if you're really brave you might choose jeans that have a tear in them, or perhaps a different colour, it's not great.

It's a bit more complicated than that...
Worn with a couple of buttons undone at the top and cut away at the bottom, slightly less clingy, better cut, over a white linen ghandi-collar shirt and a pair of dress trousers (perhaps in grey) - it might look quite fetching on the right person.

I'm fairly sure I'd be able to tuck the Marc Jacobs shirt into my waistband given the length of it on the short-a*** model.

Ha, he got that idea off me, when I went down the co-op in my dressing gown for some custard powder to sprinkle on my weetabix. He must've been there getting a brace of Pot Noodle, and ripped off my look.
