Nearly ran right over an adder on Wednesday evening as it wandered across the cycle path. It was gone before I could get my phone out for a quick snap. Must have been the best part of 3ft long.

Much more interesting than the thousands of snails I've been dodging recently

Where was that @mrvandango ? i have seen some pretty big slugs around Dorchvegas and a dead, slow worm, but haven't seen any adders yet.

I saw at least a dozen cyclists zoom past me as I was failing to repair a puncture as my pump decided to fall apart this morning.
Then another half dozen pass me as I was walking my bike the last 2 miles to work.
Not a single offer of help.

It was just past the first lay-by on the new bypass as you head away and up the hill from the Jurassic Roundabout toward Dorch.. it came out of the grassy bank on the left and was heading toward the road!!

Not nice. I will always stop to offer help. Summer-only riders are less likely to stop/carry tools perhaps ?

I saw a woodpecker yesterday morning, flew in front of me for 30 or 40 yards before going back into the trees.

Saw squished hedgehogs and a mole this morning. Hedgehogs must have been on some sort of suicide pact, saw at least three of 'em.

4 topless "cyclists." I say cyclists but a few were just chavs on MTBs pooping wheelies on a dock road with lorries going past. But there was one with lycra shorts SPD shoes on Specialized Allez who was topless.

Also saw 1 flattened pigeon, 2 flattened seagulls and a really shabby looking Reliant Robin.
