Ah. The ones that I saw first, way back in the day, were actually post John K. But they were the ones that made me love Ren & Stimpy. I didn't even know that there was any controversy over the different eras until I hit Wikipedia last year. Apparently the post JK episodes are considered too weird and freaky, well, that's what I liked about them! The one where Stimpy falls in love with and marries a plucked chicken is one of my all time favourites. If ever there was a case of a series needing to be rescued from it's original creator then R&S is it. I've got the Adult Party Network DVD. They were created by John K separately from the Nickolodeon episodes and without any creative interference from the wicked studio. They're awful.
