Wednesday 31st

I’ve seen this quite a few times before, but normally parked elsewhere (but close-by)
Sadly it’s usually blocked in by a ‘modern’, so no photo-opportunity
I actually saw it here yesterday afternoon, but was in my car, so no photograph
Note, the van too (same owner, l think)

About 10 minutes later, the Polo was driven past me

When l was a kid, one of my neighbours had a 4-door saloon
His bro-in-law, the coupe
His f-in-law, the estate

All 3 were in ‘sand glow’ (as Land Rover called it, when used on the Camel Trophy

My dad's first new car was a Mini 1000 in Sand Glow. The 70s were a strange period in the history of colour.

Genuine 'Camels' bring a large premium, possibly even more so now, with the end of the Defender
There's no registration to tell if this is one, or just a full-on replica

It's an early one, as 'Camels' used truck mirrors, instead of the standard mirrors of the era
