I'd love a 2cv.
A superb design - a simple and clear design brief and some stunningly clever engineering decisions made in pursuit of the objective.
In terms of achieving the goal of being a car for the impoverished every'man' it's a far greater success than the abortion that became the Morris Minor or the hideously unsophisticated design of the Beetle. Even the Mini, as clever as it was in some ways, was a hopeless piece of design in others, and it was only quite by accident that it turned out to be quite good at something that was never envisaged for it (sporty driving and motorsport.)
Nope, pass the 2CV. Ahhhh, that's better.

When I was a teenager and I had just passed my test I persuaded my Mum to buy one
I loved it - drove it more than Mum or Dad
Dad thought it was unsafe and exchanged it for a Datsun SUnny
no idea what he was going on about
when you pressed the brake pedal the car stopped nearly every single time
and on the times when you just got a grinding sound - if you lifted your foot and pressed it down again then it always stopped the second time
(oh - except once when it needed a third go - but I "forgot" to mention that one)
honestly - parents are SO over protective sometimes!!!!

When I were a lad, my brother would take me to watch the bike races at Knockhill and sometimes there’d be a 2CV race. They were brilliant!

I don't know what it is, had a Land rover type grill
I remember having to fit suppressors to a couple of cars for that very reason.

Nice humber spotted today. Don't see many these days but they were a reasonable alternative to a Rover as a carriage for bank managers and such back in the day

Saw this today , I think it's our neighbours sons...
1992, had a cheeky look at its MOT history and while its generally only doing a few hundred miles a year...its last failure was in 2006, plenty of advisories but that's quite impressive
