When our daughter was at Senior School, her PT tutor had a 928, seemingly as a daily driver
(she left in 2017)

Bought mine from a mate who'd been made redundant. Hed just had it detailed and the wheels mirrors polished and needed the car gone so he could pay the mortgage.

I bought it as a favour intending to use it for a few months and punt it on. One snowy afternoon I was in the Cock in Stony and someone slid on the ice into the front of the car as it was parked outside. I wasn't amused, id managed to get in safely in a 300bhp auto and some stupid kid couldn't manage in his chavved Fiesta. Then not 10 minutes later another car slid into the rear causing more damage.

So it needed new front and rear nose cones and ended up with a full respray to get everything to match. I then sold it very quickly while it was still looking pristine before something else happened to it.

If anyone has seen Risky Business theyll know how I felt!

In secondary school in first week or two of one particular year our class teacher about to take thr register asked one my pals to nip down to her car and fetch some item for her, "it's the green Lotus Elan". We all thought her very cool to say the least. Most of the staff had a mix of Marinas, old Hilmans and such, and even the deputy head made do with an old Morris Oxford

I had a cool freind whose dad had a lotus elan and also flew hot air balloons! He was the navigator! Oliver second name evades me!
