It parked up next to us. It has the worst matte black paint job, looks like he didnt even clean the car before applying it with a turd encrusted toilet brush. It had separate 8 track, cassette and CD players nailed to the dash with coach bolts and held secure with barbed wire. Even Max Rockatansky would feel a bit ick looks at it.

The Alfa Romeo Montreal was a highlight for me. Only 3000 odd made 5+ decades ago. Id never seen one before in the metal, will probably never see another.

The mk1 Astra GTE with the 16 lump was close second. A stunningly straight and immaculately presented car with no clues as to the extra thrust under the bonnet.

The C70 attracted quite a bit of attention today, including from one guy who runs his own cer detailing business for rich clients (slebs, footballists and the like.) He was very complimentary about the standard of presentation, and as an ex C70 owner himself he opined that it had been 15 years since he'd seen one in that condition.

Thanks for sharing, @Drago - some nice interesting stuff there.

My highlights? The Mk1 Astra GTE and the series V Sunbeam Alpine. Dad had a series V in Forest Green with hard top and overdrive.

The "hmmmmmmm" moment... Well, that's the pink Mini. Poor wee car, being subjected to that colour.
