Now those KC lamps were fantastic BUT they did get a bit warm we used to call them bunny burners
Yes, those big housings certainly got hot, & baked any bugs onto them!

I was once following a mini van (rather than a pick up) and it was driving very slowly on an admittedly twisty road at night. I then noticed two rather sad looking faces peeping out the rear widow and realised the farmer was transporting a couple of calves in the back

It's coming to something when a chap can't take a couple of lovely ladies out for the night without getting tailgated by Peeping Toms.

Seen in a French diy shop's car park. Seats down and loaded with wood inside, still working at nearly 75 years old.😀
It drove down the road with no smoke and seemed to keep up with traffic well, even the semaphore indicators worked

Why do eejuts take up a valuable parking space with a (presumably in this case) knackered car? If its died, either sell it while then organs are still fit for transplant, or have it towed for scrap and pocket an easy £150 or so.

A strange phenomenon that seems particularly common in the English speaking world for some reason.

Sentimental value.... I'd love a scrap Escort Mexico sat on my drive 😁
