My thoughts exactly. Didn't a lot of them use 1275 Midget engine, as it is apparently a straight forward swap?

Same engine block, nowadays they can fit a BMW motorcycle cylinder head too DOHC crossflow head either the 8 or 16 valve versions can be made to fit just by re-drilling and tapping some of the head bolts and a bit of engineering to get the cams driven. Originally developed for the Mini where potential power is limited by the gear primary drive causing the engine to 'climb' off the gearbox any car using the 'A series' engine can be thus 'got at'
