But confused here, are you saying that a good thrashing got rid of the emulsified oil? How?

As you know the white oil scenario happens when water and oil are vigorously mixed together, I cannot figure out how they would become unmixed.
As only one side of a wankel engine is next to the ignition point and thus warm up quickly, the other side acts as a giant condenser. If you are doing a lot of short journeys the engine and oil can never truly get up to temperature and thus you can get alot of condensation inside the oil system. Giving the engine a good work out gets rid of it. With a wankel it's good idea to redline it often once up to temperature to keep the engine healthy.

Did you ever get the problems we used to get daily in the garage where they did not like starting to soon after be switched off. Great car, great engine just a shame about economy.

No there's a way to avoid that. Hold the revs at 7000rpm for 5 seconds and switch off. As it winds down the excess fuel is expelled to prevent flooding. Not guaranteed to prevent it but never occurred to me.

Best car I've ever driven, only reason it's in the garage is I've got other things to burn money on ATM. It's will stay in the garage for a few years until the mid life crisis hits then I'll get it back on the road.

A mate of mine had one of this Rx8 things. A lot of car for the money, but it used almost as much oil as it did fuel, and it used a lot of fuel.

I seem to recall as a 16 year old running my DT without a head gasket to get the compression up. By the time I'd done that, had it ported by my mates Dad who was a tuner, jetted it up and fitted a Ramair filter, and slipped on a DEP tailpipe it did maybe 36 MPH. Heady stuff.

It's heavy on fuel yes but oil usuage is a bit of a myth. I used to top it up every 2nd or 3rd tank of fuel. Yes it does burn oil as part of the combustion process but it was about 300ml per 1000 miles, my current car burns a similar amount. The benefit of the rx8 is that you have to run it on mineral oil which is about 20 quid for 5 litres where as the current car needs a audi spec oil that's about 50 quid for 5 litres.

All these expensive German saloons and Japanese sports cars...all that money and they still burn more oil than a cheap old pensioners motor!
I will never buy another German car again. Built by accountants.
It's a 2017 Honda scooter with 1800 miles on it. I noticed oil dripping off the bottom of the casing a couple of weeks ago, and some creaminess around the outside of the head (the oil on the dipstick looked fine). The dealer took it in last week and claims that the engine was put together with no head gasket. They've put it right, and it seems to be ok, but I have niggles.
I think I'd be trying to contact Honda UK & ask them what extra warranty they are going to offer, or to ask them to replace under unfit goods, am I right in presuming the dealer didn't charge you & it was all done under warranty?

I'd agree with Phaeton, push for an extra years warranty at least.

Get in writing that the engine had no head gasket fitted (as said earlier).

I'm surprised the piston hadn't tapped the head as they run very close tolerances.

How many miles have you put on and have you had to top the coolant up at all.

To be fair the finished machined surfaces are that good it's not implausible to have a missed gasket but good seal.

What bike is it?, SH300?.

If it's only used a tiny anount of coolant for topping up, hasn't overheated and the oil looked good on dipstick you should have no issues imho.
