One of the many pleasures....

One of my rare frustrations with a certain traffic queue is on a downhill stretch of dual carriageway on the inner link road - 30 mph limit. When the lights at the bottom of the hill are green, everything is moving, I'm whizzing downhill @ about 20 mph. and I have to SLOW DOWN for the soddin' cars - ! Arrgghh - !!

Glad it's not just me who stops for disused railway bridges!

I'd rather the railway was still there, so I don't stop normally unless I am curious to see what's down there now.

Nature reclaiming things is nice, and I'd rather it was thus instead of it being another road, but I do often think

'What a waste of time and effort'

And feel depressed about it and Beeching and stuff as it is now a missed opportunity for the people in the area...... And then I think of all those places that could be made into lovely little steam railways etc etc, and I just feel sad because the Clowncil/locals are probably idiots so it would never happen.

I ride on, thinking about all that wasted potential and cursing at the sky......
