Only young girls wear them here. Its fashion from Australia. They wear them in summer too, with shorts

Both my mother and my gran were given a big slipper for Christmas by my mental auntie some time in the mid 90's. The one in our house was fought over constantly, the one in my gran's house wasn't even taken out of the wrapper because "they're for old people and I'm not old". She was 70-odd at the time

I'd just like to clarify: they are from Australia, but they are not "fashion" there. They were for indoors and surfers and for the slovenly by the mid eighties, and never cool or fashionable.

Oh, and "ugg" is not a brand in Australia, it's a style. Geniune ugg boots come from several manufacturers.
