Definitely a few owners. There is a long running thread in which bike if you use the search function

@Louch might be one of the owners

But it also gets that downright depressing Matt black paint job. The thing I don't like about Cube Ali frames are the dreadful welds, but the colour is a hundred times better!

Yes but unlike the Cube, the Rose is available in a choice of colours.

I have an alloy bike but it's a fair bit heavier than those.yet it's made from the 7005 stuff.

If alloy bikes can be made so light how come carbon is "the thing to have"?
Cos the pros ride them innit

If you want a light bike, lose the gubbins and go single speed  Steel's the real deal ;)

Or you can lose the weight off your bike with a higher level groupset and wheels

Not here offten enough to argue
Theres many reasons why the pros ride carbon. One being it can be made lighter and stiffer in areas that require it, bottom bracket, chainstays etc etc. Where as alloy can only be made so thin before it gets weak and breaks.

Ask madison genesis who tried with all their might and knowledge in the steal industry to ride in the pro peleton with steal bikes only to this switch to carbon.

People are right to say its not an upgrade its just a different material to produce a bike with, but if the material is used correctly, it makes a whole different type of bike

The pro peleton steal bikes

Personally my Genesis steel and Pearson carbon are as comfortable to ride, the steel is more practical with mudguards and rack, the carbon only lighter because it doesn't have add ons

The OP is looking at an £800 bike, so he's not going to be buying a pro level carbon bike. But for £800 you can get a Genesis steel bike with the same 725 reynolds frame as up the range

you quoted that people want carbon cos the pros ride em - well the pros tried to ride STEEL and it didn't work, thats my point - carbon is used for specific reasons, its not an upgrade its just another material used in a different way
