Optima Storm MTB.

I've just been given this bike by my neighbour. He bought it about 7 years ago and then went in for a hip operation. The bike has been in his garage ever since and never ridden.

I've never come across Optima bikes before, it looks pretty entry level, but I'm not going to look a gift horse in the mouth. Can anyone tell me anything about them please. My plan is to simply clean it up, make sure everything works, sell it and donate the profit to the RNLI. So any indication of worth would be helpful.

They're very basic, entry level bikes but with solid components should work. They're heavy though.

Yeah, I'd gathered they're a bit meaty. Not really my kind of thing, but I wasn't going to see it go in a skip. It's never been ridden.

I'm basically just giving the profit to charity, so I'll take what I can get. The thing's hardly turned a wheel. I'll just get everything working and hopefully someone can get some use out of it
