Orange 753 road bike ?

The shop may be what is now the Giant shop, previously PedalSport at King Cross further along Queens Road.

It's had a few names over the years.

The owner of the other 753 Orange has confirmed that he bought his from PedalSport back in 2006 , as previously mentioned they were selling on behalf of a widow who was clearing out her late husbands bikes .

Been looking again and the over bb cable routing and the internal cable routing in the top tube seem out of time?

Having looked at nearly every image on Google the internal cable routing is reminiscent of Condor frames (though not as well executed) as is the rear brake bridge , the over the BB cable routing is more late 70's early 80's to my eye also the the rear over locknut distance is 125mm so pre 8 speed and a build date of pre 1990/91 ?

Was this bike in the display window at PedalSport, do you know?

If it's the same one, it was one of two given to the shop for display purposes by Orange, when they opened their factory below Queens Road.

The factory is in Elland, but the office for some reason, relocated to the opposite end of Queens Road for a time. Down below Chambers Timber Merchants, on Pellon Lane.

It seems not , he was only told that they where selling the bike on behalf of the deceased cyclists wife . Out of interest can you confirm they were road bikes and the year ?

Early/mid-march 2006(I'd bought the "Beast O'Burden" the month before, in Manchester).

Two road bikes, facing left to right in the left-hand window.

Knew Orange did mountain bikes, which led to questions about them.

Just had it confirmed on retrobike.co.uk that my frame was built by Dave Lloyd and is a touring frame built from 753 and supplied to Orange sorted
